My 5 year old son told me not long ago that he wanted to get an iPod so he could be a ‘real runner’, then challenged me to a 30 yard dash down the sidewalk. This confirmed it. I was a real runner. Not because I ran 5Ks, 10Ks, half marathons, or even marathons, but because my kid thought so. Little kids always see things for what they are.

Run Momma Run’s mission is to celebrate and support women who run, especially busy moms. Whether they put one foot in front of the other to get to the end of the day, or to the end of a marathon, we want to foster the joy and health benefits of running for women and their families.
By offering a variety of products, education and encouragement, women in the local community (and nationally through running camps, products, education and online communities), can connect and gain support in their sport. Its our ultimate goal to foster the mom-running-communities because we feel that exercise, good nutrition, being outdoors and taking care of yourself helps to build strong lives and strong children. Setting the example in all of these areas is not just a great gift of health, it’s critical to curbing the childhood obesity epidemic.
We also want to encourage woman who enjoy running for any reason. Whether they like to race, want to stay fit, enjoy the private time, lose weight or see the emotional uplift that running offers, we want to help them gain the most from it. Our success lies in our ability to provide support, education, community, products and services to that end.
