This applies to life and running. So many times you think we’re at the beginning of something; the beginning of a career, the beginning of a relationship, the beginning of a new path to enlightenment. And then you discover that this new beginning started long ago – with your first job, your first boyfriend, your first self-help book. Passion builds, knowledge grows, experience does teach you something even if it’s just that you will, in fact, forget where you put your keys once in a while, that your kids will not really sleep through the night until they are so old they don’t want to get up in the morning and that when you’re done with a run, you will always feel better than before the run. These are good things to know, not earth-shattering, but good. You’ve come this far…go a little further.

Uplifting piece…thank you! It’s a great daily reminder that I’m adding to my journal right this second! 🙂
